E-Biking in Romania
On this guided tour, you will see the highlights of Sibiu. By riding an e-bike through landmarks like the Council Tower and the Brukenthal Palace and visiting the town of Paltinis, you can see more in less time.
Admire the Germanic architecture of the ancient town and learn about the 12th-century Saxon settlers. Ride through the forest to Paltinis, then cycle through the Lupilor to the lovely settlement of Rasinari.
Meet your guide and obtain your helmet and motor-assisted e-bike, which will help you save energy on your ride. Pass by the ruins of mediaeval walls and towers, including the Council Tower from the 13th century.
Visit Brukenthal Palace, now the Brukenthal National Museum, in the upper town. Please continue to the neighbouring Evangelical Cathedral, which contains gravestones carved into its walls. As you ride your E-Bike across the city, you will be mesmerised by its historical past.
Be guided through Sibiu's green lungs, the Subarin Park. Take in the scenery as you travel to the alpine town of Paltinis. Cruise down serpentine roads and follow a trail through the fir forest, passing through a section of Valea Lupilor (Wolf Valley).
Arrive in Rasinari, a shepherd's town, and take a break to buy a well-deserved beer or visit the "Emil Cioran" memorial house (a radical Romanian cultural critic). Continue on well-travelled roads until you reach your meeting spot in Sibiu.
